An authentic Parisian, I have always been passionate about history, especially thanks to my father who, during my childhood, brought to my attention the historical monuments and famous characters who shaped the history of France; that love story is hereditary! I'm very lucky to be living in Paris and even though I love traveling, I never get tired of Paris and love to come back, crossing the city in a taxi by night and seeing all the neighborhoods flashing before my eyes. Before choosing the profession of professional guide, I had a rather traditional office job, which was however still linked to Paris because it was city planning. During a trip to Rome, I saw some the guides in the Vatican, and I realized you could turn all that beauty into a job. Without further ado, I signed up for tests and interviews for guide school. In 2010, I obtained my professional guide diploma and today I organize guided visits in Paris for curious and enthusiastic travelers. I love outdoor activities and natural landscapes, but paradoxically, I'm a real proud of my city and willing to bring its treasures across. ...read more

Graduating with a Masters in international business, I worked as in international sales and exports and, during my many travels, I loved discovering different cultures through their food …until one day I was swept off my feet by a Mexican lawyer would later become my husband. After living in Mexico together for several years and starting a family, we decided to move back to France. Keen to keep a connection with travelling and different cultures, I dedicated to move into tourism. And, when French gastronomy was added to the UNESCO world heritage list, I came up with the idea of getting tourists to discover France through food. To acquire a deeper knowledge in food culture, I returned to the Sorbonne for two years to study the history of food and food culture. I got this master writing my thesis on food tourism in Paris, and this is how I became officially Food geographer. In 2012, after meeting numerous french gastronomy artisans and producers, I set up my own food tour guiding agency. I’m also a food tourism consultant and give classes to Masters students. I’m a member of Association des Femmes du Tourisme, and won the 2014 prize for the most innovative concept promoting French heritage. Specialized in food Markets such as wholesale Rungis Market, I am also involved during the last 2 years in the creation of the future Cité de la gastronomie Paris Rungis. ...read more

LANGUAGES :
Anglais/English, Français/French
Born in Toronto (Canada), I always had a passion for Paris and all things Parisian. In 2011, I decided to move to the French capital to fulfill my childhood dream. Before that, I had many lives and jobs, working in marketing, public relations, as a travel agent, in a restaurant, and even being a potter which I did for 15 years with my own gallery and studio. My passion for food, wine and art reached its peak when I travelled to Florence and took a food and wine tour I truly loved. From there, I knew this is what I wanted to do in Paris in order to show the city through its culinary aspects. To me, gastronomy and pleasures of the table are the perfect way to understand a city – especially Paris where eating is a way of life in its own right. I like to say I am a cultural consultant. On my side, you can discover the authentic flavors of Paris in family-run shops, restaurants and cafes loved by locals, and off-the-beaten-track gems of the Paris daily life. When I have some free time to spend, I love tasting food, talking to people and venturing in an unknown area. This is the Paris I live in: a city in a state of constant renewal and possibilities. With my team of multilingual guides (French, Spanish, English), we design unique culinary experiences with an educational dimension. Make sure you show up with an empty stomach! ...read more

German native and Parisian by adoption, I have been enjoying the « City of light » with its endless cultural discoveries since the age of 18. After an initial Master’s degree in History from the Sorbonne, I completed a 5 year Master’s program in Art History at the Ecole du Louvre, a school within the famous museum, and have enjoyed working as a state licensed guide ever since. Leading family tours is definitely my preferred activity. I love the way kids look at art with fresh eyes. As a mother of three I came to understand how important it is to ensure that children have a fun and interactive museum experience. As a guide and art historian an equally essential part of my work is to provide the keys to « read » works of art and make the necessary connections between art and history, the past and the present. It’s important that children learn to observe, to think and to draw conclusions. My tours are designed to match these aims. ...read more

LANGUAGES :

Born in Paris, I studied tourism then moved abroad to live many experiences. After a year in Australia, and several months as a Hotel Manager in Venezuela, I acted in a film in India and traveled to China, Ghana and the United States. I also traveled to Budapest by bike from Paris, then continued in Egypt, Jordan and Turkey. Throughout these adventures, I worked in various fields such as catering, plumbing, communication and sales. Following these experiences, I decided to go back to Paris to share my passion for ! A childhood friend and his wife joined me in this adventure and we specialized in boat tours on the Seine to show the monuments of Paris from the water. I especially like the bridge of Bir Hakeim and, overnight, the Pont Neuf, which has a beautiful lighting. I like to tell about the origin of the names “Pont Neuf” and “Vert-Galant”. I am more a teller of anecdotes rather than dates and architectural styles, although history also fascinates me. During my tours, you will discover many fun facts - Why do we say "paying in monkey money," "lasting 107 years" or why in France we call police officers, "the chickens". The Grand Palace is also one of my favorite sights in Paris. Did you know its canopy is heavier than the whole Eiffel Tower ? (9500 tons against 7500 for the Eiffel Tower)? The happiness of my clients gives me great satisfaction and rewards. I sometimes come across passengers who feel sorry to ask me a thousand questions about Paris and France, while in fact, this exchange with them is precisely the essence of my work on board; the reason why I love my job, and what makes each cruise unique. Although, of course, some passengers want to enjoy the boat tour with a driver who is happy to just drive, my pleasure (and my quality, I think) is to adapt to each group and deliver the hospitality and attention they want. ...read more

I was born in the Basque Country, but I moved to Paris when I was 18 years old. I wanted to discover the world: I studied at Science Po Lille, completed “prépa” classes in Paris and then went to Sweden. Why did I become a guide? By chance. A friend asked me to help him distribute flyers for guided tours in front of Notre Dame. And, I was immediately hooked! For 5 years, we created guided tours across Europe before setting up our own people-sized company with a small team of colleagues to offer customized Paris tours. In our team of 6, 4 of us have official guiding qualifications and we conduct visits in French, English, Spanish and Polish. Each of us has a specialty in relation to 4 key themes: history and religion, food and wine, art and “off the beaten track.” I prefer French history and religion including Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle. Giving tours is a passion for me – I like learning and sharing, inciting curiosity and watching the connections that are created. ...read more

Born and brought up in Paris, I studied history and was destined to become a teacher, as I like working with people. However, I also wanted more freedom and flexibility. So, in 2009, I started giving tours as a volunteer and completed by professional guiding qualification the following year. I love this job as I’m always surrounded by people, I get to share my passion for history, and I create personal relationship during small private tours. My favorite themes? History (ex. Monuments like the Basilica of Saint-Denis, Saint Chapelle and Les Invalides), le Marais (Medieval architecture, aristocratic history) and the Louvre. As well as history, I’m also passionate about fashion, travelling and psychology. ...read more

I’m from the northern French town of Douai, but I moved to Paris to finish my art history degree. I worked at the Musée National de la Renaissance and then for antique dealer Jacqueline Boccador before organizing contemporary art exhibitions with art dealer Marc Higonnet. I’ve been a qualified guide since 2011 and enjoy being able to mix my love of the humanities and good food. When I was young, my mother took me to the Musée de la Chartreuse de Douai for an archeology lecture, which I found incredibly beautiful (even if I didn’t understand everything)! Since then, I give lectures and guided tours in the hope of inspiring young – and not so young – people. Given my classical background, I’m particularly fond of the Louvre, the Jacquemart-André, Picasso et Middle Ages museums, as well as the châteaux of Chantilly, Fontainebleau and Chambord. ...read more

Passionate about cinema and History since my childhood, I worked in cinema production for three years after completing a Master in History of Cinema in Paris. Having the desire to transmit and share my passion with neophytes or other moviegoers, I also wanted to show the city of Paris through a different perspective and address cultural tourism in a different way. So I specialized in Movie Ride guided tours. Today and, since four years now, I tell the wonderful story of the cinema, being proud to work for such a beautiful city with such a rich history. What I like the most about my job are meeting people and sharing, but also the fact that participants have a thirst for knowledge as well as a real desire to discover the city. Originally from the South-West of France, I grew up surrounded by wine and good food. This is probably why, after some scientific studies and a career in engineering followed by fifteen years in consulting and human resources, I chose to go back to my roots by attending oenology and viticulture courses, as well as taking the co-management of a wine club, multiplying tastings and agreements between the food and wine experiences. Passionate about wine, I decided later to found my own company to put my skills and knowledge of wine to serve my customers, while making it accessible. I have a keen sense of smell, and now continue to explore the world of wine with the aim to transmit and share with other enthusiasts. Follow me off the Paris beaten paths to discover wine, gastronomy and all the emotions surrounding them. ...read more

Originally from the Loire Valley, I grew up surrounded by art, thanks to my parents, two teachers who always brought me in museums and historical monuments... After my studies in art history, I did an internship at the Chateau de Fontainebleau; which decided me to Paris to live close to museums, monuments and culture. Wishing to convey and share my passion for history and art, I decided to become a guide-lecturer. I am a true passionate and this is what characterizes me the most, I think. I am very dynamic, and visitors usually say that my visits are alive and animated. I love laughing about small historical anecdotes, talk about "little" stories to explain the "great" History. And what I like most of all in my job are the reactions, smiles, and laughs of my guests. I love to make my visits a real moment of exchange and sharing. After a national tour guide diploma followed by multiple tourism experiences in Europe and the US, I decided to settle in Paris to attend a theater course that made me discover my true vocation of actress and propelled me on stage between musicals, theater and cinema. After a fortunate encounter with a Montmartre movie actor, I rediscover the scenes of this small charming neighborhood. Passionate about the cinema decor of Montmartre and the songs of the pre-war, I decided to start my own tour-guiding business. After several cinema-themed tours, my first sung stroll in Montmartre was born thanks to a collaboration with the singer and actress Cyriel Tardivel. My Montmartre is the one of Jean Renoir and his "Bitch", Amelie Poulain and her arrow trail to the Sacré Coeur, Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, Claude Lelouch, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and all these important figures of the cinema's history; but also Toulouse Lautrec, Edith Piaf, Yvette Guilbert and many other artists who lived in Montmartre during the prewar; cabarets, brothels and crazy atmosphere that reigned and still reigns in this bohemian neighborhood that looks like me. During my sung and dramatized tours, I take you in unusual locations of Montmartre, full of anecdotes and shaped by the passage of yesteryear's artists… ...read more

Originally from an artisan family in Provence, then former globe-trotter and fashion designer specialized in hats and accessories, I finally and definitively settled in Paris, my adoption city, which spells on me since childhood. Passionate about art, culture and cinema, I decided to create a unique concept of guided tours in Paris, following in the footsteps of Parisian artists who have shaped the city's history. As an omniscient narrator, I plunge my audience back in time: my tours allow curious visitors to see Paris from an artistic angle to feel the magnetism that the French capital and its different neighborhoods have breathed within painters, singers, actors, writers, photographers, designers and musicians who have lived there and still live on in their city's memory. From Coco Chanel to Yves Saint Laurent, through Serge Gainsbourg, Jean Cocteau, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso and Van Gogh, let me show you the historical and magical Paris in a chic decor full of anecdotes.
