An authentic Parisian, I have always been passionate about history, especially thanks to my father who, during my childhood, brought to my attention the historical monuments and famous characters who shaped the history of France; that love story is hereditary! I'm very lucky to be living in Paris and even though I love traveling, I never get tired of Paris and love to come back, crossing the city in a taxi by night and seeing all the neighborhoods flashing before my eyes. Before choosing the profession of professional guide, I had a rather traditional office job, which was however still linked to Paris because it was city planning. During a trip to Rome, I saw some the guides in the Vatican, and I realized you could turn all that beauty into a job. Without further ado, I signed up for tests and interviews for guide school. In 2010, I obtained my professional guide diploma and today I organize guided visits in Paris for curious and enthusiastic travelers. I love outdoor activities and natural landscapes, but paradoxically, I'm a real proud of my city and willing to bring its treasures across. more

After 12 years spent in sales and trade marketing, the birth of my 4th child gave me the impulse to change careers in order to fully devote myself to my passion: organizing guided tours in my beautiful city of Paris. In 2006, I created my own company with a small team of professional polyglot guides (Emanuela, Françoise, Xenia...), offering visitors the opportunity to discover Paris in a different way. While many cities are becoming standardized in their offer with the development of numerous chains of all kinds, the French capital retains its authenticity and its unique shops, thus preserving its peculiar charm. This is the concept of my visits which have been increasingly successful over the years. Through my special relationship with partners, merchants and artisans, I offer my visitors a unique sensory immersion punctuated by cultural stops in different symbolic places and neighborhoods of Paris. During my tours, visitors are led in confidential boutiques, carefully selected and conducive for the stimulation of the senses: perfumes, groceries, wines, chocolates and local workshops. My experts and passionate guides love to share their stories and offer fun activities to bring a playful dimension to the tours. Whether you are a gourmet, fashionista, fine nose, or wine lover, I create a customized itinerary to awake your senses: mysterious wine-cellars discovery in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés chic neighborhood, culinary traditions, and french Art of living in a prestigious restaurant, or meeting with fashion designers in the Marais during a show-room. PS : my tours are usually guided by Emanuela, Françoise or Xenia more

Born and brought up in Rennes (Brittany), I decided to move to Paris because of the city’s amazing architecture, history and dynamism. I wanted to combine my passion for history, art history and modern languages. So, after finishing my art history and modern language degree, I prepared and obtained my professional guiding license in Saumur. I like meeting people from different backgrounds, talking about architecture and taking visitors on a journey through French history, as well as giving insights into modern French life. One of my favorite places to take you is the Basilica of Saint-Denis because of the incredible mix of architecture, stained glass, sculptures and history. My passions? Argentine tango, impro, accompanying young people on language stays, history and architecture. more

Louvre, Eiffel Tower, highlights, Reims, Epernay, palaces in Loire Valley, wine and champagne degustation
Français/French, Anglais/English
I’m from the northern French town of Douai, but I moved to Paris to finish my art history degree. I worked at the Musée National de la Renaissance and then for antique dealer Jacqueline Boccador before organizing contemporary art exhibitions with art dealer Marc Higonnet. I’ve been a qualified guide since 2011 and enjoy being able to mix my love of the humanities and good food. When I was young, my mother took me to the Musée de la Chartreuse de Douai for an archeology lecture, which I found incredibly beautiful (even if I didn’t understand everything)! Since then, I give lectures and guided tours in the hope of inspiring young – and not so young – people. Given my classical background, I’m particularly fond of the Louvre, the Jacquemart-André, Picasso et Middle Ages museums, as well as the châteaux of Chantilly, Fontainebleau and Chambord. more
Adelaïde and Jack, private and professional local guides in Paris

Jack and Adelaïde, private guides for Unique Tours Factory

Art, drawing, Montmartre, Luxembourg, Ile St-Louis
Anglais/English, Français/French
Jack was born into a family of artists in England. Following a holiday to Paris in 2003, he decided to come back to France to study at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. Adelaïde also chose to study at the Beaux-Arts de Paris in order to focus on painting and in particular frescos, and this is where they met each other and became friends. The pair share a passion for Paris, art and teaching. So, when Jack suggested creating tours where tourists draw and discover Paris at the same time, Adelaïde loved the idea and they set up a company. The aim? Combine drawing and tourism to share the city’s streets, secrets and monuments with visitors. Their favorite spots? Montmartre, Ile St Louis and the Luxembourg Gardens. Jack is delighted when clients who claim “not to know how to draw” are satisfied with their artistic creations at the end of a tour. While, Adelaïde loves meeting the people in her groups, sparking their curiosity and adding value to their visit. more

Born and brought up in Paris, I studied history and was destined to become a teacher, as I like working with people. However, I also wanted more freedom and flexibility. So, in 2009, I started giving tours as a volunteer and completed by professional guiding qualification the following year. I love this job as I’m always surrounded by people, I get to share my passion for history, and I create personal relationship during small private tours. My favorite themes? History (ex. Monuments like the Basilica of Saint-Denis, Saint Chapelle and Les Invalides), le Marais (Medieval architecture, aristocratic history) and the Louvre. As well as history, I’m also passionate about fashion, travelling and psychology. more
Irina, private and professional local guide in Amsterdam & The Hague
Russe/Russian, Anglais/English, Français/French
A native of Moscow, I left Russia 10 years ago at the end of my journalism and French literature studies, to come and live in Paris. Passionate about the French capital, I became a State-licensed guide in Paris, France. After guiding at the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Versailles, Grand-Palais and other Parisian museums and exhibitions, I moved to The Netherlands for family reasons. I now continue to guide in Amsterdam and The Hague. I hold 2 Master’s degrees—in French humanities and journalism, and I continuously expand my knowledge of European art history and history. I’m not a lecturer, though. I strive to provide academic-level tours in a fun and accessible way. I worked for several years in journalism and marketing before I embraced my passion for culture and became a guide. I enjoy the conversational format of a private group, and I’m always happy to adjust the tour to your interests and needs. Another of my favorite activities is hiking that I practice all over the world (Nepal, Ecuador ...). Any of my tours can be given in English, French or Russian languages. more

Notre-Dame, Belle-Epoque, Ile de la Cité
Allemand/German, Anglais/English, Français/French
Native of the Parisian region and Parisian by adoption, I am a guide lecturer specialized in the preservation of heritage. Having co-founded my own agency, I organize tours in atypical places of Paris, offering an authentic experience off the beaten paths and still charged with a strong historical dimension. History is indeed my passion ever since childhood when I was spending my time recreating the kings of France's family tree. Each district of Paris is full of history between art, literature, music, gastronomy and anecdotes. I especially love to connect places with characters in order to immerse my visitors in a different atmosphere. Using both my experiences of teacher and tour guide, I create some evolutionary walking tours, always with great humor and adapting myself to my audience, to create positive emotions. Sharing my knowledge and seeing happiness in people's eyes is what I like the most about my job. Follow me in the Paris of the Belle Epoque and the Middle-Ages, as well as on the footsteps of Rodin, Renoir, Manet, Toulouse-Lautrec and all these other painters whose paintings have caused a scandal in the 19th century! more

Passionate about cinema and History since my childhood, I worked in cinema production for three years after completing a Master in History of Cinema in Paris. Having the desire to transmit and share my passion with neophytes or other moviegoers, I also wanted to show the city of Paris through a different perspective and address cultural tourism in a different way. So I specialized in Movie Ride guided tours. Today and, since four years now, I tell the wonderful story of the cinema, being proud to work for such a beautiful city with such a rich history. What I like the most about my job are meeting people and sharing, but also the fact that participants have a thirst for knowledge as well as a real desire to discover the city. If you also love Paris and cinema, follow me on the footsteps of your favorite actors along the Parisian cobblestones, which blend the story of a magnificent city with one of the most popular of all the arts. more

Wine tasting, contemporary art, St-Germain des Prés
Espagnol/Spanish, Français/French, Anglais/English
Originally from the South-West of France, I grew up surrounded by wine and good food. This is probably why, after some scientific studies and a career in engineering followed by fifteen years in consulting and human resources, I chose to go back to my roots by attending oenology and viticulture courses, as well as taking the co-management of a wine club, multiplying tastings and agreements between the food and wine experiences. Passionate about wine, I decided later to found my own company to put my skills and knowledge of wine to serve my customers, while making it accessible. I have a keen sense of smell, and now continue to explore the world of wine with the aim to transmit and share with other enthusiasts. Follow me off the Paris beaten paths to discover wine, gastronomy and all the emotions surrounding them. more

Molière, Montmartre, photography, Opera house

Originally from the Loire Valley, I grew up surrounded by art, thanks to my parents, two teachers who always brought me in museums and historical monuments... After my studies in art history, I did an internship at the Chateau de Fontainebleau; which decided me to Paris to live close to museums, monuments and culture. Wishing to convey and share my passion for history and art, I decided to become a guide-lecturer. I am a true passionate and this is what characterizes me the most, I think. I am very dynamic, and visitors usually say that my visits are alive and animated. I love laughing about small historical anecdotes, talk about "little" stories to explain the "great" History. And what I like most of all in my job are the reactions, smiles, and laughs of my guests. I love to make my visits a real moment of exchange and sharing. Follow me on the footsteps of Molière and its Comédie Française, as well as in bohème stories of Montmartre. more

After a national tour guide diploma followed by multiple tourism experiences in Europe and the US, I decided to settle in Paris to attend a theater course that made me discover my true vocation of actress and propelled me on stage between musicals, theater and cinema. After a fortunate encounter with a Montmartre movie actor, I rediscover the scenes of this small charming neighborhood. Passionate about the cinema decor of Montmartre and the songs of the pre-war, I decided to start my own tour-guiding business. After several cinema-themed tours, my first sung stroll in Montmartre was born thanks to a collaboration with the singer and actress Cyriel Tardivel. My Montmartre is the one of Jean Renoir and his "Bitch", Amelie Poulain and her arrow trail to the Sacré Coeur, Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, Claude Lelouch, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and all these important figures of the cinema's history; but also Toulouse Lautrec, Edith Piaf, Yvette Guilbert and many other artists who lived in Montmartre during the prewar; cabarets, brothels and crazy atmosphere that reigned and still reigns in this bohemian neighborhood that looks like me. During my sung and dramatized tours, I take you in unusual locations of Montmartre, full of anecdotes and shaped by the passage of yesteryear's artists… more
