Made famous by the story of Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, the beautiful city of Verona is a witness of the Roman era with its numerous historic sites and its unique charm. You will discover the Piazza Bra renowned for its first century Roman Arena where world famous operas are still held throughout the summer every year. The nearby pedestrian area holds a variety of sites, including the legendary Juliet's House with its iconic balcony. You will also see the Piazza de Erbe with its colorful daily market and the wide façade of the Medieval Palazzo del Commune, along with the tall brick Lamberti's Tower. You will be awed by the Saint Zeno Basilica, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture, displaying large polychrome walls, a 10th Century crypt, a polyptych by the Renaissance painter Andrea Mantegna and a well preserved cloister. As you stroll, you will discover other famous buildings such as the Borsari Gate, the Maffei Palace, the Lamberti's Tower, the Palace of Reason, the Mazzanti Houses, and the Graves of the Della Scala Family. At lunch time, your guide will give you recommandations to enjoy a delicious and veronese lunch in the city center. To end your tour, you will head to one of the typical bacari to relax and soak up the local atmosphere with a complimentary glass of wine.

ITINERARY
You will meet your expert guide directly in the center of Verona where your walking tour will start in Piazza Bra. You will enjoy a complete stroll through the Roman history of the city, passing by famous sites and buildings such as the Arena, Borsari Gate, the Maffei Palace, the Lamberti's Tower, the Palace of Reason, the Mazzanti Houses, the Graves of the Della Scala Family. You will then head to Juliet's House for a visit, discovering the famous balcony from where Romeo used to call her. During the day, your guide will suggest the best places for a lunch in the beautiful historic center of Verona. Born and raised in the Veneto region, I always loved foreign languages since my youngest age. So I started to study Japanese, literature and culture and in the meantime I was developing my knowledge and passion for Italian arts and architecture. Few years after, working as a Japanese interpreter, I saw a contest for a Japanese speaking guide job and I decided to participate to end up being selected and it changed my life. I decided to create my own agency, in order to design my own visits, focused on the inside stories of Venice churches and museums. I have a true passion for my city and my region, and I love to show it to the visitors from all around the world, bringing them to hidden places and telling them secret anecdotes about Venice and the Veneto. My tours show the real Venice, far from the touristic paths and closer from the people who make the city existing since centuries. I am also proud to say I am the most licensed guide in the Veneto area in five different places, entitling me to guide also in Verona, Padova, Vicenza, Treviso and Rovigo. Today, I can guide in Italian, in English, and Japanese in unique places such as Murano glass factories, Burano lace workshops, wineries, churches and other authentic Venetian places.
