Enjoy a complete Milanese culture experience with an unbeatable mix of Renaissance art, canal settings and local cocktails. Your tour will begin at one of Milan's oldest and most illustrious basilicas, Saint Eustorgio. Built on an ancient Pagan and early Christian burial site, the basilica is home to the Portinari Chapel, which was constructed by the Medici bankers from Florence in the 15th century. Here, you’ll have the chance to admire beautiful frescoes by some of Italy’s greatest Renaissance artists. As you gently wander through the canal district, your guide will provide insights into the history of one of Europe’s most important river port cities. Passing through the quaint backstreets, you’ll arrive at the Naviglio Grande canal, as it prepares for another night of revelry. You will finish the tour in typical Milanese fashion with a couple of aperitivos and some local delicacies.

ITINERARY
Your private tour will begin at the Basilica Sant Eustorgio and Portinari Chapel. After a guided visit to discover magnificent renaissance architecture and frescoes, you will continue into the canal district and along the Naviglio Grande as you learn more about the city’s history. The tour will finish aperitivos in a selection of local bars. This tour is available every day except Monday and usually starts around 5pm.
