Indulge your love of french wine and food in Saint-Emilion and enjoy a full-day tour that combines a panoramic visit of the most prestigious Châteaux in the Bordeaux region, a cooking class with a chef and some interactive wine tastings. Leaving the city of Bordeaux behind, you will travel to the countryside with your expert guide, heading to the picturesque village of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO-listed site. On your way, you will pass by some prestigious Châteaux such as Petrus, Château Angelus, and Château Cheval Blanc. There, you will visit a top winery, followed by a wine tasting. In the same Château, you will take part in a cooking class led by a french chef, learning about the regional products and how to pair them with the local wines. You will then savour your meal together with your guide. In the afternoon, you will discover another Château in Saint-Emilion region. Then, you will head to the medieval city center and enjoy a last wine tasting in a local wine store, learning more about the tasting techniques and the different wines of the Bordeaux region. You will continue with a panoramic tour in the steep cobbled streets filled with traditional artisan boutiques and historical sites such as the beautiful Monolithic Church and its Tower Bell or the Cardinal Palace. You will also discover the magnificent views over the village surrounded by vineyards before coming back to the center of Bordeaux with your guide.

ITINERARY
Meet your wine expert guide directly at your hotel in Bordeaux and follow her for a private day tour in Saint-Emilion. Travelling 45 km (28 miles) North East, you will drive down the most scenic roads lined with endless vineyards, passing by some prestigious Châteaux. Once in Saint-Emilion, you will visit a top family-run Château producing some Grand Cru Classé (Classified Growth) wine, where you will enjoy a commented tour and a wine tasting followed by an interactive cooking class with a famous local chef who will teach you how to pair your delicious preparation with the Bordeaux wines, followed by a lunch. In the afternoon, your tour will continue in the heart of Saint-Emilion where you will enjoy a panoramic walking tour of the most beautiful historical sites of the village and a tasting in a wine shop. Your guide will drive you back to Bordeaux at the end of the day.

I was born and raised in the Bordeaux area, few steps away from the picturesque village of Saint-Emilion and its endless vineyards. In my family, wine runs through the veins. My grandfather was a wine-maker, my brother manages a winery, and my cousin sells wine. Working in the fine food industry abroad (US and Latin America) for twelve years, I decided to change my life and career from marketing director to professional tour guide, coming back to my beautiful region to share its treasures. Passionate about meeting with people from different countries and cultures, becoming a guide was quite a destiny, especially after organizing several amateur wine tours for friends visiting from the US. Today I am never tired of showing the beauty, culture and bustle of the Bordeaux region. Holding a level 3 WSET (certificate in wines and spirits education trust), I can lead wine-oriented tours in the Medoc, Saint-Emilion, Pomerol and many other areas of the Bordeaux region, in Spanish, French and English languages. I also work with two other guides and wine experts, Laura and Laetitia. Exploring my region with visitors is always a new and inspiring experience.
