I’ve been living in Milan for 30 years, but I’m originally from Scotland. I’ve always loved and been fascinated by Italy. I went to Florence as part of my French and Italian degree, where I met Milanese husband and I moved to Milan straight after my studies. I decided to become a professional tour guide because of my passion for art and history. I love showing people around Milan and sharing the Da Vinci’s Last Supper, the Duomo Cathedral, Portinari Chapel (hidden gem) and the canals, as well as the restaurants and nightlife. The ultimate job satisfaction? When people enjoy themselves and discover the “real” Milan beyond the sometimes austere, elegant facade. When I’m not giving tours, I like swimming, socializing, people watching, clothes and fashion. I’m also a big fan of films and TV series especially Sex & the City! ...read more

Born near Lake Como, I lived abroad with my family until the age of 10 before coming back to Italy. In the meantime, I had discovered other cultures and lifestyles, leading me to study foreign languages at high school. Later, I obtained my Masters degree in History of Art at the University of Parma and won an academic prize to spend a year in Lisbon where I learned Portuguese. I moved then to Milan where I worked as an art curator for several collectors, art galleries and foundations. But I was eager for more challenges and I wanted to combine my job experience with my love for my city, far from corporate obligations. I came back to study and obtained my guiding license. Since then, I have been organising guided tours in Italian, English, Portuguese and French, showing the hidden gems of Milan and Como and giving a true local experience to my guests while adapting to their needs and wishes. I love meeting people from other parts of the world and leading them to the little churches, museums, shops, old streets and the architectural heritage of Milan. There is so much that deserves to be seen in this beautiful city! ...read more

LANGUAGES :

Born in the beautiful region of Piedmont, I grew up surrounded by exquisite food and wines - so no surprise I became a foodie! 13 years later, I fell in love with Milan (and a Milanese who became my husband) where I live and work today. As a professional tour guide, I had to study to obtain my license to guide in Milan, and this was like “getting the citizenship” but now I feel like I am both Piedmontese and Milanese. Guiding is my passion and sharing the amazing city of Milan with you is the greatest job in the world! My in-depth knowledge extends to nearly all of the Milan major sites and museums, but what I love the most is organizing food tours to get you acquainted with the delicious and diverse gastronomy of Milan the local way. There is nothing better than a good food tasting to learn about a city and its traditions so make sure you show up hungry to my tours! One of my favorite moments is when I see the faces of my clients as they taste new foods and learn new facts! In my free time, I love reading a good book and shoe shopping but also, enjoying life with friends and family. My advice to you: don’t leave Milan before trying the famous Risotto alla Milanese. Please note: when I am not available, I have a team of fantastic tour guides to replace me. ...read more

LANGUAGES :

Born and raised in Milan, I used to work in the transportation industry for few years before deciding to live out of my real passion: tourism. I became a professional tour guide licensed in English and German, then later, French and Spanish as well. Meeting people and speak their language is one of my favorite things. Within my job I try to offer a good experience to everybody, that's why I attended another course to be able to guide also for disabled people. And because I really enjoy studying and always learning new things, I recently took a course in art restoration. Today I am a National Tourist Guide and a tour leader in Milan, Bergamo, Monza Brianza and Lake Como. I am proud of my region and I love showing its best to my guests so they can enjoy an unforgettable experience. Member of several tourism associations and organisations in Milan, I am an active ambassador of the city and its culture, especially in the classical music and fashion industry. ...read more
