PLEASE NOTE: This tour is available from 11/13 until 12/23, when Christmas markets are open.

The run-up to Christmas is a fun and exciting time in cities across the world and Vienna is no exception. This 2.5-hour walking tour will take around the historic center to admire the beautiful festive decorations adorning the key buildings and monuments of a city steeped in centuries of history. Prepare to travel back in time as you explore the 800-year-old St. Stephen's Cathedral and the winding streets in the surrounding neighborhood. Your guide will tell you more about the city’s history as you pass by the Holy Trinity Monument, the Hofburg Palace, the Spanish Riding School and the Opera. No Christmas tour would be complete without a little Christmas shopping. You will visit the newly opened Christmas shop selling a wide range of gifts and decorations all year around. And, to end the tour, you’ll sip mulled wine and pick out decorations, nativity scenes and gifts at either the Am Hof or Karlsplatz Christmas markets.

I’ve been living in Vienna for 24 years, but originally I was born in Budapest. I fell in love with the city during my studies in Music at the University of Vienna and while I was performing concerts here. I decided to start a new course to become a professional tour guide and since 2003, I have been working as a qualified and a passionate Austrian Tour Guide. I’m fascinated by Vienna's history, its musical heritage and all the romantic places of the city. Did you know that until 1918 Hungary and Austria used to be one country? For me, the fact that I’m Hungarian makes working in Vienna - as a tour guide - even more meaningful. My aim is to impress visitors with the beauty of Vienna, an international, multicultural city where history, imperial heritage and modernity blend together seamlessly. When I’m not working as a music teacher and tour guide, I love nature, excursions, being outside, sport, reading, history and spending time with family and friends. I am very much looking forward to sharing my passion for this magnificent place with you. See You in Vienna!
