Private Flamenco experience in Seville followed by dinner

A unique musical tour of Triana or Santa Cruz accompanied by two flamenco artists

WITH
Francesco's TEAM | about the guide

Seville is the cradle of flamenco. Triana is the Sevillan neighborhood where flamenco was born. This intimate private tour is the ideal way to find out more about a popular Spanish tradition based on cante (singing), baile (dance), jaleo (vocalization), palmas (handclapping) and pitos (finger-snapping), which was born in Andalusia in the 18th century. During your exclusive guided tour, you’ll be transported back in time as you learn more about the roots and history of Flamenco with an expert guide. On arriving in Triana, a neighborhood famous for its pottery, tiles and flamenco, you’ll be greeted by two flamenco performers: a dancer and a guitar/singer. You’ll then be taken off the beaten track to discover some of Triana hidden corners and historic highlights with flamenco songs and performances along the way. Your flamenco experience will come to a delicious close at a local restaurant by the river where you can sample typical tapas. Before leaving, your artist-guides will join you for a drink and advise you on the best specialties to sample.

Born and raised in Italy from an Italian mother and a Spanish father, I studied history at the University of Bologna to end up in a chemical lab. I quickly realized the office life was not for me so I decided to change career and started to work as a tour leader for groups going in Asia and in the Caribbean. After few years of tour leading abroad, I wanted to go back to my Spanish roots so I came to Seville for the holidays… In love with this incredible city, I decided to stay, obtained my Spanish guiding certificate and got married. I live here now since more than 16 years and I am organizing tailor-made itineraries in Spanish, Italian, English and French for worldwide visitors; passionate about Seville and Andalusia, I like to immerse them into local lifestyle, traditions and history, from Flamenco shows to cooking classes and historical sites. I also love festivals where people gather, dance, eat and play music. When I am not guiding, I provide some free coaching to other locals who want to become tour guides.
