Explore the Catholic Church's collection of masterpieces, artworks and sculptures which will give you a complete overview of the Vatican's history. You will enjoy a private tour of the Vatican Museums, which will allow you to visit the Museum before the general public. Starting your tour at the Vatican museums, you will enjoy a skip-the-line access and an exclusive 4-hour walking tour in the wonderful world of the Italian Renaissance. You will learn about the Catholic Church's and the Vatican's history, and see an impressive collection of masterful pieces of artwork, mosaics and sculptures and marvel at Michelangelo’s famous The Last Judgement. Then, your guide will leave you in a workshop where you will learn the art of mosaics with a Vatican Master Mosaic Artist. After the tour, your guide will advise you to climb the Cupola of St. Peter's Basilica to enjoy breathtaking views of the city and to end with a Roman specialities meal on a beautiful rooftop overlooking at the eternal city.

ITINERARY

Meet your guide in the early morning (at 7.30am) at the Caffe Vaticano located in front of the Vatican Museums' entrance. Then, start your tour of the museums, the Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter's Basilica. You will enjoy a skip-the-line access and an exclusive 4-hour walking tour in the wonderful world of the Italian Renaissance. You will learn about the Catholic Church's and the Vatican's history, see an impressive collection of masterful pieces of artwork, mosaics and sculptures and marvel at famous Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement. Afterwards, you will attend a mosaic making class learning how to craft beautiful mosaics from a Vatican Master Mosaic Artist.
