Thelma, private guide for Unique Tours Factory
Born in Sydney from Portuguese parents, I came back to Portugal twelve years later with my family. After completing my degree in Tourism at the University of Lisbon, I started to work as a guide in the double Decker buses before becoming a freelance guide in a local tourism agency. Soon after, I decided to create my own guiding business because I wanted to plan "non-touristic tours" and show Portugal as locals see it. Living in Sintra, I love to organize guided tours there, as well as in Lisbon and its surroundings. Meeting with people from all across the world and sharing with them my beautiful country is one of the best parts of my job. When I am not guiding, I enjoy taking photographs, but also reading. Follow me in the beautiful cities of Sintra and Mafra, enjoy an original literary tour, or immerse into the authentic Lisbon on a private walking tour.
